Specialised Structures builds Winery Extension for Kiwi Spirit Distillery

Kiwi Distillery

Specialised Structures offers a wide range of building options and a new winery extension for Kiwi Spirit Distillery is another example of quality construction within their commercial portfolio.

The Specialised Structures team in Tasman led by owner Lance Robinson is currently building a winery extension for Kiwi Spirit Distillery.  Lance says “We are building for Kiwi Spirits, they are distillery, making high end plonk and health tonics”. Sounds great to us!

The winery extension for Kiwi Spirit Distillery is taking place in Motupipi, Golden Bay, and is part of the new development for the company.  The distillery is located at the northern most reaches of the South Island of New Zealand between two spectacular National Parks, the Abel Tasman National Park and the Kahurangi National Park.

In the heart of the bay, nestled down a lane off the main street of the quaint town of Takaka, you will come across the unique Kiwi Spirit Distillery. It all began in a beloved old building, lovingly restored by owner, Terry Knight. Due to growth, this new purpose built distillery will share much of the same charm as the original building.

From humble beginnings to adventurous enterprising, Knight has developed a range of world class, hand crafted products including Waitui Honey Malt Whiskey, Murderer’s Bay Gold Rum (now in the capable hands of Village Distillery), Tangelo and Lime Liqueurs, Fruit Schnapps, and ‘Silver Cloud’ – New Zealand’s first Blue Agave Spirit.

These artisan products use only the finest ingredients and mana filled water from the Te Waikoropupu aquifer. You can sample their fantastic range of products and discover for yourself the goodness that comes in a glass. Our tip: enjoy it over ice.

We look forward to seeing the finished results of the new extension and will keep you posted.  You can view the distillery’s website here.
